CNC Machining Safety Precautions

General CNC machining usually refers to precision machining, CNC machining lathes, CNC machining milling machines, CNC machining boring and milling machines, etc.

Nowadays, many aluminum alloy shells use CNC. Do you know the secret of how to use processing technology safely?

 

1. Use computer simulation system

With the rapid popularization of contemporary computer technology and the continuous expansion of CNC machining teaching, there are more and more CNC machining simulation systems and their functions are becoming more and more perfect. So this technique can be used to check the program: observing the movement of the tool to determine if a collision is likely to occur. Utilize the machine tool's own analog display function. Generally speaking, CNC machine tools have advanced graphic display functions. After entering the program, you can call the graphic simulation display function to observe the movement trajectory of the tool in detail and check whether the tool collides with the workpiece or fixture.

 

2. Use the locking function of CNC machining

General CNC machine tools have locking functions (full lock or single-axis lock). After entering the program, lock the two axes and determine whether a collision will occur based on the coordinate values of the two axes. The application of this function should avoid operations such as tool change, otherwise the program will not pass.

 

3. The coordinate system and tool compensation settings must be correct

When starting CNC machining, remember to set the machine reference point. The CNC machining work coordinate system should be consistent with R in programming, especially the seven-axis direction. If you accidentally make a mistake, the milling cutter is likely to come into contact with the workpiece. In addition, the tool length compensation setting must be correct. Otherwise, it will be either empty processing or collision.

 

4. Utilize the dry run function of CNC machining

Use this function to check the correctness of the tool path. When the program is entered into the machine tool, the tool or workpiece can be mounted and the dry run button pressed. At this time, the spindle will not rotate, and the workbench will automatically run according to the program trajectory. At this point, you can find out if the tool has access to the workpiece or fixture. However, in this case, it must be ensured that the tool cannot be installed when the workpiece is installed; the workpiece cannot be installed when the tool is installed, otherwise a collision will occur.
